The S&P closed up 0.5% while the NasDAQ was up 0.4% both significantly off their intraday highs but maintaining their bullish bias. The VIX has nudge higher overnight and lies just shy of 30 which is elevated on a recent historical basis. Gold seems to have broken out of its bull flag and may be set to rally after recent pullback which digested the extended moves north. UK futures are flat preopen with the following 17 companies having reported results today: SGRO and AVST being the two FTSE 100 shares.
