Wed 06 Jan 2021 Pre Market Update: UK Indices Playing Catch-Up in the Global Bull Run

Pre Market 07:30:

FTSE 100 futures suggest the cash will open 80 points higher at 6549  points higher around 6685  suggesting a new post Covid crash high and a breakthrough of the previous resistance around 6650

Indices

All UK indices strongly bullish after another day in green with AIM All Share making new multi year highs. Post Brexit UK markets seem to be playing catch-up

Commodities

Brent crude oil  gapped up making a new post Covid high touching almost $54: Gold is flat around the $1947 level after encountering overhead resistance to the Nov '20 highs: a pullback to the 1910 area may be on the cards as the worry trade unwinds.

Sentiment

The VIX remains elevated around 26 while the F&G index has dropped to 52 as concerns over the Georgia election weigh on US investors
